Bagels from Russ & Daughters.

New York is world famous for a multitude of things, including it's unique food scene. From high-end restaurants to 24-hour street carts, the Big Apple is always bound to leave you hungry for more. Here are some of the most memorable stops during my time in NYC.

Prince St. Pizza is perfect for pizza lovers and non-pizza lovers alike.  I will admit, I am not the biggest fan of pizza, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed our pie from Prince St.  Do not be discouraged by the line, as it is well worth the wait.  We went with the spicy pepperoni, which had the perfect amount of heat.

Russ & Daughters is an iconic establishment that has mastered the art of smoked fish and bagel sandwiches. As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by a bustling ambiance and an enticing display of smoked fish, caviar, and delectable pastries. It almost feels as if you have stepped into a piece of history.  Their spreads are exceptional - for example, they offer a caviar cream cheese and a variety of smoked fish for every palate.  Russ & Daughters is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic taste of New York’s Jewish culinary heritage. The Daughter's Delight is a must try!

Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee is my favorite for quality bagels. Something about how they are made makes them delicious and easy to chew. Visiting in June, they had a fantastic seasonal (and surprisingly fruity) rainbow bagel for pride month. This is a great place to grab to go and enjoy somewhere near the High Line.

Eileen's Special Cheesecake is a must-try. At least make a point to stop in and grab a few to eat later in the day. They have so many different flavors, and I love that the cheesecakes are the perfect size to try more than one. Don't worry though, you can still get a large cheesecake if you would like!

Bibble and Sip was the perfect stop for a sweet treat AND something cute all at once. They have seasonal treats as well as year-round items. The raspberry lychee tart did not dissappoint, and I would like to go back to try more of their desserts the next time I am in NYC.

Cheap Eats are always a fun find in a big city, and New York is full of them.

One stop that left me pleasantly surprised was the 99 cent pizza spot in Times Square (it was more like $1.50, but hey, it was still a deal). Keep in mind there are several in this area, but I would imagine they are all pretty similar. The pizza slices were nothing spectacular, but surprisingly good for the price. My 8-year-old loved it!

Another absolute home run for me was the chicken and rice from one of the 100's of carts you see around New York City. You know, the ones that sell hot dogs, French fries, and Mediterranean food? Now this may not be the Halal Bros, but there was no line and the plate was $8 (AND HOT). It was absolutely delicious. I will make a point to stop and grab this every time I am in Manhattan without a doubt.
