Welcome to Seattle, where a vibrant and diverse food scene awaits! From farm-to-table delights showcasing the region's abundant produce to international flavors reflecting its melting-pot culture, Seattle's food scene promises an unforgettable journey of flavors and experiences. Embark on a gastronomic adventure as we delve into the rich tapestry of tastes that make Seattle a food lover's dream destination.

Athena's Restaurant

Athena's Restaurant is a delightful stop to eat and is conveniently located right in Pike Place Market, making it an easy stop for lunch and dinner while you are wandering the shops. We always opt to order a bowl of clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl while enjoying their beautiful waterfront view.

Cafe Hagen

(Pictured: Photos from breakfast at Cafe Hagen.)

Cafe Hagen is an absolute culinary gem in the heart of a bustling city. They served us one of the best breakfasts I have ever had, and I would highly recommend that you come here for breakfast at least once while in Seattle. The menu boasts a delightful selection of artisanal coffee blends, handcrafted beverages, and delectable desserts, making it a haven for coffee enthusiasts and food lovers alike. We enjoyed an espresso flight with our breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The interior was modern and comfortable, and everything we ate was exceptional. I would highly recommend the Weekday Breakfast board if it is available!

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery

(Pictured: Enjoying a drink at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle.)

The Starbucks Reserve Roastery is a great stop while in Seattle, especially if you have never been to a roastery location before. Housed in a grand historic building, the interior boasts a stunning industrial-chic design, with gleaming copper pipes and a soaring ceiling. This roastery features multiple levels as well. Well-seasoned baristas passionately prepare a vast array of specialty coffee beverages, each with unique flavors and exceptional presentation; from handcrafted espresso drinks to innovative brewing methods, the options are as diverse as they are delightful. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery also features an expansive Princi bakery, where you can indulge in an assortment of freshly baked Italian pastries and artisanal bread that are atypical from your usual Starbucks location. Please note that this is also pricier than the average Starbucks, so be aware.

Rondo

Rondo was an excellent stop in seattle if you are craving Japanese food. The interior is simple, and everything you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. I had to try their signature Bara-Chirashi Donburi bowl, which had a wide variety of seafood on it and was very fresh and filling. We came here with some family, and we enjoyed everything except the uni, which wasn't very fresh (according to my uncle).

Sisi Kay Thai Eatery

(Pictured: Dinner at Sisi Kay Thai Eatery.)

Sisi Kay Thai is a great stop for Thai food in the Seattle area. The menu offers a delectable selection of authentic Thai dishes, each bursting with flavors and presented beautifully. They also had lovely cocktails to compliment the meal. This location does get busy, however, and when we came here they actually forgot about our drinks. The server was very kind and even discounted our check for the inconvenience, but please note that this is a popular restaurant!

Inside Passage

(Pictured: Interior and cocktails from Inside Passage.)

Inside Passage is a unique themed bar experience that is perfect for an evening out while in the Seattle area. The moment you step into the bar, you are submerged into an underwater world. The interior of this small bar is absolutely fascinating, and the attention to detail was breathtaking, including wooden octopus legs covering the entire ceiling. One notable highlight of this bar is that all of their drinks are served in some sort of unique fashion. Mine was served in an actual rice cooker turned into a cup, and my boyfriend ordered the "I See a Light" which was served in a cup shaped like an anglerfish, complete with glowing light.

Unicorn

(Pictured: An evening at Unicorn Bar.)

Unicorn Bar is a whimsical and eccentric hotspot that brings a touch of magic to the nightlife scene. Stepping inside this bar feels like you are entering a carnival wonderland. The bar's unique carnival-themed interior features carousel horses, arcade games, and an array of eye-catching decorations with vibrant colors, quirky decor, and a playful atmosphere. Live music, DJs, and entertainment events such as drag shows add to the vibrant energy. One highlight of this bar was the downstairs arcade complete with old-school pinball machines (they were still 25 cents!) They also had a photo booth to take pictures in, giving it a vintage arcade charm for the evening, while also enjoying some drinks. Whether you're exploring the neighborhood or looking for a unique nightlife experience, Unicorn Bar is a must-visit destination that promises a whimsical adventure.

La Dive

Bathroom at La Dive.

I'll be honest, La Dive was a pretty basic bar, but was a great and quiet(er) spot to end our bar crawl for the evening. The only notable thing about this bar was the really cool bathroom, pictured above. Our drinks were fairly strong, however, pictured below.

Kaladi Brothers Coffee

Enjoying our pastries with some coffee from Kaladi Brothers.

Kaladi Brothers Coffee in Seattle is a great stop to sit and relax for a bit after walking around in the morning. Originating in Alaska, their expertly roasted beans result in rich and aromatic brews. It is worth a stop, and is unique from the average Starbucks coffee chain.

Cinnaholic

(Pictured: Interior of Cinnaholic and cinnamon roll with lemon glaze and blueberries.)

Cinnaholic offers a delightful indulgence for any cinnamon roll-lover. They offer a vast selection of customizable cinnamon rolls and an array of delectable toppings, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or dessert alike.

Temple Pastries

(Pictured: Items from Temple Pastries.)

Temple Pastries in Seattle is definitely worth the stop if you are in the Seattle area, however be aware that they do get rather busy at times. Their pastries are simply divine - flaky croissants, mouthwatering danishes, and flavorful tarts. We enjoyed both items we tried here, and I will be making a point to return next time I am in Seattle.

Port of Poulsbo

(Pictured: Lunch at a small bar in the Port of Poulsbo.)

If you end up making your way over to Bainbridge Island, stop somewhere in the Port of Poulsbo for lunch. While the restaurant itself was not very memorable, this area was lovely and a perfect place to stop for lunch.
