Tetonia, Idaho is a charming small town nestled in the scenic Teton Valley. Surrounded by picturesque mountains, Tetonia offers a peaceful and idyllic setting for residents and visitors alike. The town is known for its strong connection to nature, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts for activities such as cross-country skiing. With its proximity to world-class outdoor activities, Tetonia provides ample opportunities for adventure and exploration, making it a delightful place to slow down and experience the beauty of Idaho's natural landscapes.
Nestled deep in the woods of Teonia, Idaho lies a perfect AirBnb named the Nordic Cottage. Complete with an outdoor hot tub, this picturesque cabin in the woods was one of my most memorable AirBnb stays of all time while we visited Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

Upon our arrival (which was later in the evening after spending the day at Grand Teton National Park) we were greeted by the world's friendliest kitty named Tinker Bell. After being greeted by Tinker Bell, we decided that it must be her job to greet all of the guests, and she was a wonderful hostess. Please note that Tinker Bell and Peter (another cat on the property) are not allowed in the cottage, however, as they like to scratch the furniture.
When you enter the cabin, it feels like something you have seen out of a Hallmark movie. It was decorated perfectly from top to bottom, and featured a separate bedroom for my daughter and an upstairs sleeping loft for the adults that can be accessed via a wooden ladder. There was a small wood-burning stove complete with a pile of wood outside for you to use. The hosts even took time to leave us a gift basket with snacks and toys for my daughter to play with, and the small kitchen area was stocked with some simple grocery items, such as noodles.

One thing I noted during my time here was that everything was perfectly thought-out. The space was not large by any means, but the owners took the time to make sure the home was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I also felt that every item included in the home was carefully thought out and belonged in the cabin - nothing felt cheaply done, nor did it seem like they cut any corners when putting this place together. There was not a full kitchen, however, there was a small fridge and electric stovetop unit that made cooking in the cabin a fairly simple experience.

The area surrounding the AirBnb felt like something out of a dream, at least for me, being a native Californian. The birch trees seemed to span as far as the eye could see, and I loved enjoying coffee in the morning while listening to the wind blow in their leaves. There was a hammock on site to enjoy and read a book in, and a short walk away was a hot tub complete with lights that can be turned on from the AirBnb. In my professional opinion, every AirBnb is better with a hot tub.
(Pro Tip: Bring sandals to walk over to the hot tub with!)

When they day came to check out of our cabin, it was a sad day indeed. Tinker Bell also made sure to come running down the hill to say goodbye. It was hard to leave the tranquility of our peaceful cabin in the woods, and I would like to make a point to come stay here again.
