Interior of room.

Yotel in Washington, D.C. is a modern and stylish hotel located in the heart of the city. With its innovative design and tech-forward amenities, Yotel offers a sleek and comfortable stay for travelers. With suites suited for any guest's needs, individuals can enjoy a blend of efficiency, comfort, and contemporary luxury in this urban retreat.

Coffee bar located on each level.

Upon entering our hotel room at Yotel, we were exhausted. I was pleased to see upon exiting the elevator that complimentary coffee stations are provided on each floor. This is when I took notice of the hotel's neon purple theme; a simple yet trendy touch that really added an aesthetic feel to our stay. This is something I find hotels do not think much about, however it really elevated our experience there.

Bathroom.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well thought-out. There was ample space to lay out backpacks and suitcases, including a clothing rack and shelves which I felt utilized the space way better than a traditional closet. Note how someone thought about where you could hang a towel next to the shower. One special perk of the room was the adjustable beds; each bed had a switch on one side that could adjust the bed up or down into a flat or seated position. This was great for getting up in the morning to sit in bed for a bit before starting the day. Another highlight of the room was the lighting. The room, upon entering, is also filled with the neon purple light that highlight's the hotel's trademark theme. This lighting can be adjusted to any color you'd like, which added a fun touch to our stay.

During our time spent at Yotel, Washington D.C., the main highlight of our entire stay was the rooftop pool. Located on the 11th floor, guests can enjoy a dip with a lovley view of the surrounding buildings. Towels are included for you to use, and there is also a gym if you felt the need to workout during your stay. In addition to this, there is a bar up top that is open for guests during certain hours in the evening, and it looked like a really fun place to spend the afternoon overall.

(Pro Tip: The cabanas that you see pictured need to be reserved in advance.)

There is also a restaurant/bar on the lower level called Art & Soul, where we went down to have an evening cocktail. This was an excellent option to have, since we had my daughter with us and did not feel comfortable leaving, but were still able to enjoy a drink downstairs for the evening.

Overall, my experience at Yotel was a memorable one. As laughable as I thought the name was when we first arrived, they left me with a surprisingly pleasant experience. If you find yourself looking for a stay near Washington D.C., consider Yotel for your next visit.
